PATENTED WOOD PRESERVATIVE & INSECTICIDE PENETRATION ENHANCING TECHNOLOGY
Tru-Core is a physio-chemical penetration system that allows accepted wood protectant chemicals to be delivered into the core of wood products. Tru-Core Millwork is water based using the Tru-Core chemical process to impart WDMA and AWPA approved chemicals into the center of wood and wood parts without the use of solvents or pressure. As a water based system, Tru-Core Millwork is very low VOC yet remains fully customizable.
Regulatory information
Tru-Core Millwork is an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) registered product that incorporates customizable levels of propiconazole, tebuconazole, IPBC, and either permethrin, bifenthrin, or imidacloprid. Validation and verification of customized loadings supported by internal KCPP lab and where necessary, third-party certification. Full Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) support and training is part of included service. Safe chemical handling practices recommended.

product use
The patented Tru-Core process uses buffered amine oxides to interact with the cellulosic layer of wood allowing deeper penetration of preservatives into wood than other non-pressure treatments. Tru-Core Millwork can be applied via dip, spray, or flood application. Tru-Core requires heated solution at the point of application and a reduced activation time over solvent based treatments. Being water based, Tru-Core Millwork requires less drying time than solvent or high water content pressure vacuum methods.
