Engineered Wood protection

tru-core® integral Glueline

tru-core-integral-glueline-1
IN-LINE TREATMENT PROCESS

The Tru-Core Integral Glueline process uses the heat and pressure used in most engineered wood products to activate the Tru-Core process and allow customizable preservatives to penetrate the individual layers of LVL, plywood, OSB, particleboard, and fiberboard. This process ensures that the entirety of the engineered wood product receives treatment, in turn ensuring full protection from fungal and insect attack, mold, and mildew. Allowing for incorporation of desired treatment into an existing production line, this process has minimal additional equipment needs and eliminates the need to double-handle components to achieve treatment.  This process is supported by International Code Council Evaluation Service Report (ICC-ESR 3834).

Regulatory Information

Validation and verification of customized loadings supported by internal KCPP lab and where necessary, third-party certification. Full Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) support and training is part of the included service. Safe chemical handling practices are recommended.

product use

Tru-Core Integral Glueline can incorporate a range of wood-protecting actives such as propiconazole, tebuconazole, imidacloprid, IPBC, permethrin, and bifenthrin into customer preferred resin. Basic compatibility testing during the exploratory phase of opportunity is done in cooperation with resin supplier. Test runs are made in-lab and onsite to verify manufacturing process and resin interaction work on a small scale before full production is started. ICC-ESR report edits are facilitated by KCPP.
